McBee Leadership to Speak on Successfully Navigating New Regulations at the NAHC Financial Management Conference

​​McBee leadership will present four educational sessions at the National Association for Home Care & Hospice's (NAHC) Financial Management Conference & Expo. The conference will take place on July 14-16 in Chicago, Illinois.

Keith Boroch, Vice President at McBee, will present the session “Getting Outside Your Silo - Global Healthcare Environment,” on July 15 at 11:00 a.m. This session will provide an overview of the key drivers and incentives for all healthcare providers so home care and hospice leaders can facilitate collaborative relationships across the continuum. Keith leads the Post-Acute Consulting Practice at McBee and has more than 30 years of strategic, operational and financial leadership experience with both free-standing and health system home health and hospice organizations.

Carissa McKenna, RN, BSN, COS-C, HCS-D, Senior Clinical Consulting Manager at McBee, will present the session “PDGM Clinical,” on July 15 at 3:50 p.m. The session will provide attendees with the latest insights into the complexities of PDGM and how agencies can prepare with a strong clinical episode management program. Carissa has more than 21 years of experience in the healthcare industry and specializes in quality assurance, clinical documentation, integrated chronic care management, and education to help providers improve adherence to the established plan of care.

Mike Dordick, President at McBee, will present the session “PDGM Financial,” on July 16 at 8:30 a.m. Thriving under PDGM requires a clear understanding of how the model will affect financial outcomes and this session will explore the fundamental steps necessary to assess the operational impact and determine specific implications for cash flow. Mike has more than 20 years’ experience in healthcare financial, operational, and management consulting and leads practices across the McBee care continuum to improve clinical outcomes, increase cash flow, and develop best practices in operations. His expertise centers on restructuring organizations to improve bottom lines in the short-term and for longstanding operational efficiency.

Maria Warren, Consulting Director at McBee, will present the session “Positioning Back Office Infrastructure to Prepare for Growth,” on July 16 at 11:30 a.m. Home health organizations, both new and established, are now facing severe reimbursement and regulatory changes. This session will help identify opportunities to focus on business office initiatives that provide the greatest return on investment and provide better insight into the financial performance of the agency. Maria leads the post-acute consulting team in providing healthcare clinical, financial and revenue cycle management services for home health and hospice agencies nationwide and has brought extensive expertise in revenue cycle strategy throughout her nine years at McBee.
