McBee to Speak on Strengthening Leadership Skills and Preparing for Review Choice Demonstration & PDGM at the HCAF HomeCareCon Conference & Trade Show

​McBee leadership will present three educational sessions at the HCAF HomeCareCon 30th Annual Conference & Trade Show. The conference will take place on July 29-August 1 in ChampionsGate, FL.

Jeri Ann Kelly, BSN, MBA, Chief Nursing Officer at McBee, will present the session “Leadership by Design, Not by Accident,” on July 31 at 8:30 a.m. This session will explain how to build better relationships and improve teamwork in your organization by living intentionally, asking questions and connecting with others. Kelly has more than 28 years of experience in healthcare with a background in case management, hospital revenue cycle, and home care and hospice administration. She has also expanded into studying leadership, becoming a certified leadership coach, speaker, trainer and DISC personality consultant.

Maria Warren, Consulting Director at McBee, will present the session “Working Together to Prepare for the Potential Pitfalls of Review Choice Demonstration,” on July 31 at 8:30 a.m. This session will discuss the revenue cycle pain points of pre-claim review and discuss how organizations can implement effective measures along with best practices to lead your agency towards higher affirmation rates. Warren leads the episode management team in providing clinical, financial and revenue cycle management services for home health and hospice agencies nationwide and has brought extensive expertise in revenue cycle strategy throughout her nine years at McBee.

Dawn Cheek, RN, BSN, Clinical Consulting Senior Manager at McBee, will present the session “Compliance Challenges & PDGM,” on August 1 at 11 a.m. This session will outline the various challenges home health organizations will face and best methods to utilize when trying to stay compliant with the new regulatory changes PDGM brings. Dawn has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare operations, including 12 years in management roles. She has a broad base of clinical compliance and documentation improvement for providers nationwide.
