SAN JOSE, April 22, 2010 - Neda Mansoorian, Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and partner at McManis Faulkner, was honored as one of "Silicon Valley's Women of Influence" by the Silicon Valley / San Jose Business Journal. Among the 100 regional honorees, Mansoorian was one of only four attorneys in private practice to receive this distinction.

As one of the first law firm CLOs, Mansoorian is putting corporate project management principles to work within the legal environment, using her extensive trial and business experience to work across multiple client service teams and cases. Changing the traditional way law firms work with clients and manage their litigation, Mansoorian is dedicated to maximizing client value and leveraging her firm's resources, including both senior and junior attorneys, to help achieve each client's business goals.

Mansoorian also serves as a role model and mentor to newer attorneys. A leader within the firm, which boasts a highly diverse staff and a female majority, an industry rarity, Mansoorian's leadership and project management skills facilitate an environment in which all firm attorneys and staff are valued for their respective backgrounds and capabilities. Mansoorian has played an important part in encouraging this mutually rewarding atmosphere, which has inspired not only her colleagues, but the legal community at large. McManis Faulkner was recently recognized by the Diversity Committee of the Santa Clara County Bar Association (SCCBA) with its "Unsung Hero" Award, which recognizes the firm's efforts toward advancing diversity within the legal profession.

In addition to her firm leadership, Mansoorian serves on the Board of Governors of California Women Lawyers. She has chaired the Education Subcommittee of the Santa Clara County Bar Association Diversity Committee and is a past president of the Santa Clara County Bar Association Women Lawyers Section. Mansoorian is also a member of the AAJ (Women Trial Lawyers Caucus and Mentor Program) and the President's Blue Ribbon Commission on Diversity.

In her legal practice, Mansoorian emphasizes high-technology litigation, as well as matters involving professional negligence, products liability and general negligence, high-asset marital dissolutions, employer liability, wrongful termination, real estate disputes and breach of contract, among others. She has tried cases before juries and judges and has expertise in alternative dispute resolution (ADR).

Deeply devoted to the Silicon Valley community, of which she has been a long-time member, Mansoorian participates annually in fundraising for Next Door Battered Women's Shelter and Child Advocates of Silicon Valley.

Mansoorian earned her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law (1999) and her B.A. in political science from the University of California, Berkeley (1994).
