MEDecision Appoints Eric Demers Senior Vice President of Life Sciences

Career Healthcare Executive Will Direct Company's Growth into New Markets

WAYNE, Pa. - May 25, 2010 - MEDecision, Inc., a leading provider of collaborative healthcare management solutions, today announced that it has named Eric Demers senior vice president of life sciences. He will oversee the company's emerging markets operation and lead its growth into the burgeoning patient centered medical home, life sciences and health information exchange (HIE) segments.

"Eric's background and expertise make him an ideal fit to execute on our strategy to grow and diversify our business," said Scott A. Storrer, president and CEO at MEDecision. "We have identified a number of opportunities for expansion, and Eric brings the exact background and expertise we need to direct those initiatives."

Mr. Demers joins MEDecision from Orion Health, Inc., where he served as vice president of operations, North America. He drove expansion of the company's U.S. and Canadian business to include the Mexican and South American markets and provided leadership and direction to its European and Middle Eastern divisions. Previously he was an associate partner in IBM Corporation's healthcare, global business services organization. Mr. Demers has also gained experience as a senior manager and business development executive for Concuity, Inc., and as a senior consultant for KPMG, LLP. He holds a B.A. degree in psychology from Brandeis University and a master's in health services administration from George Washington University.

"Our new HIE platform, InFrameā„¢, has created a wealth of growth possibilities for us into market segments we haven't targeted in the past," Storrer said. "Given his successful track record of expanding healthcare businesses into new and diverse markets, we're excited about where Eric can take us."

Introduced in February, InFrame is a collaborative health information exchange service that enables care delivery organizations to share clinical data - including diagnostic-quality medical images - among themselves and with patients to more effectively drive business and comply with meaningful use criteria.
