Medical Tourism Facilitator Helps Clean The Environment
Qdays realises that the people need the environment and has decided to join CHIP Magazine team in an effort to clean up the environment and help secure a cleaner, safer green zone around the perfect area for medical tourism services - Brasov.
Online, October 4, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Medical tourism isn't just a business - medical tourism is all about the people. While most of the businesses in the medical tourism industry are mainly focused on the online environment, Qdays Medical Holidays have always put the person in the front line of attention.
"There's no greater satisfaction for us than to see patients enjoy themselves while recovering from any sort of treatment: dentistry, plastic surgery, orthopaedic, eye surgery, etc... How better to recover in a destination such as Brasov than to enjoy not only the historical heritage that the area offers, but also the vast expanse of nature that this part of Romania has to offer. While many parts of the country are still virgin woodland some have been exploited by man for recreational purposes and we owe it to ourselves, as well as to our patients to ensure that the environment is clean and welcoming" said A. Henegar, a managing partner with Qdays - Medical Holidays.
The company has always been keen on emphasising the tourism part of "medical tourism" for both the patient but also for their companions. The world of medical tourism needs humanity, and people can't be regarded as numbers, they are first and foremost patients.
Medical treatment abroad and especially those surgeries which require recovery times before the patient is allowed to fly out, must include short to medium walks and regular exercises. This minimises the risk of deep vein thrombosis and ensures a speedy recovery for the patients. The area surrounding Brasov is known for its woodland and mountainous areas which makes it the perfect spot for nature walks.
The "Let's Do It Romania" is an event organised in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, and has required mapping of waste areas throughout the country. Teams of volunteers are then recruited, who are either assigned a spot or choose an area that they will clean. The garbage and waste collected is rounded up and disposed of accordingly, in most cases sent through to be recycled. It has proven to be a successful action in all of the countries which have picked up on the model.
The action took place on the 25th of September 2010 and Brasov - the destination that Qdays Medical Holidays operates in as a medical tourism facilitator has shown what it means to be environmentally conscious leading being a leader in terms of number of volunteers that have joined the movement.
