MedicalMine Inc. Earns MACRA-MIPS, ONC Health IT Certification for ChARM EHR 1.2
PLEASANTON, Calif., February 8, 2019 (Newswire.com) - ChARM EHR 1.2, a product of MedicalMine Inc, the maker of ChARM Health suite, has achieved the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC-Health IT) Certification via Drummond Group LLC, an Authorized Certification Body (ACB) that has been empowered to test software for compliance with the requirements of the federal government’s program. The stamp of approval designates that the software offers the functionality that enables eligible providers and hospitals to meet the requirements of various regulatory programs that require the use of certified EHR technology. This helps support the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) Medicare Incentive Payment System (MIPS) reporting requirement.
"This certification is an attestation of MedicalMine Inc.'s commitment to the highest levels of quality and standards compliance. While this certification enables our providers to obtain incentives from federal programs and improve patient outcomes, we also see it as an opportunity to raise standards on reliability, usability, accuracy and software performance. Our product was tested by users and professional third-party testing bodies for reliability, usability, and accuracy, and we continue to use the feedback to turn our highly rated product to an industry leader."
As part of the new certification, we have implemented 30 Clinical Quality Measures (CQMs), to help monitor and track clinical quality metrics to enable MU and MIPS submissions. To support the new Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) for Medicare, and MU for Medicaid, we have provided separate reports with associated scoring algorithms for MIPS ACI and MU. Through a partnership with Iron Bridge, we have enabled bi-directional connectivity with vaccine registries in all 50 states. We have also partnered with DataMotion, a Health Information Service Provider (HISP) that enables us to send and receive Direct messages within ChARM EHR, apart from a robust Patient Referral module that enables Referral Orders using fax and Direct protocols. In addition, we have implemented an extensive set of APIs using the new Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) based HL7 protocol, to give access to patient records to applications connecting multiple EHRs for enhanced interoperability.
This Health IT Module is 2015 Edition compliant and has been certified by an ONC-ACB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
