Megapolis USA Restructures as Global Spirits USA to Meet Growing US Market Demands
Major alcoholic beverage importer and distributor Global Spirits changes name and restructures key personnel.
New York, NY, March 13, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Megapolis USA, formerly an affiliate company of Global Spirits, a privately held international manufacturer and marketer of wines and spirits, will now operate under the name Global Spirits USA, LLC with a realigned structure and staff, under the direction of newly appointed CEO Maxim Dubossarsky.
A Fortune 500 Company in Europe, Global Spirits was established in 2008 and has offices in New York, Moscow and Kiev. The company’s annual volume exceeds 12 million cases, with distribution in over 80 countries. Global Spirits USA has appointed Steve Ackerman to the position of national sales director. In this newly created position, Ackerman will lead the wine and spirit portfolio sales team by expanding the sales team and distributor network, developing strategic partnerships, and creating and executing national sales strategies that will drive Global Spirit brands in the U.S. market.
A veteran of the beverage alcohol industry, Ackerman has over 25 years of leadership experience with well-respected companies including Allied Domecq, William Grant & Sons, Inc., and most recently as vice-president, national sales manager of Van Gogh Imports.
