Mental Health News Radio is proud to announce that they will once again cover the NATCON18 Conference for The National Council for Behavioral Health. This year the prestigious event is to take place at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center. Over 5,000 like-minded leaders in the behavioral health field will attend this event to learn how to stay on the cusp of the changes and advances that are being made in mental health advocacy and education. MHNR will interview speakers and vendors at the event to ensure their listeners are also keeping up with the trends in the field. MHNR believes education is key to reducing mental health stigma so covering this event feels like part of their mission. This year’s conference will focus on new research in behavioral health, addiction treatment, and whole-person care. Strategically, Hill Day will coincide with the conference. This will give attendees and participants the opportunity to participate in advocacy for behavioral health on Capitol Hill.

Hill Day is the largest behavioral health advocacy event of the year. This year 18 national mental health organizations will participate in workshops on federal policy concerning behavioral health. After the sessions, the organizations and supporters will go to Capitol Hill to advocate for better mental health care and policies. There will be over 600 advocates that will participate and rally for better mental health care for all. They will have the opportunity to speak directly to officials who make decisions about how our mental health policies are legislated.

MHNR will interview speakers and vendors at the event to ensure their listeners are also keeping up with the trends in the field. MHNR believes education is key to reducing mental health stigma so covering this event feels like part of their mission.
