Michael Barber talks New Album, Ex-Girl, and Nas in interview with DJ City and Duke

Online, April 29, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Universal Recording Artist, Michael Barber, was recently on the DJ City and Duke mix tape show this past Monday night and he talked about his upcoming release of The Purple Aces Tape with DJ Fade. The mix tape/album should be out on his ECP Music Group May 25th online and will hit Best Buy and Itunes this summer.

Barber also talked about working with Hip Hop legend, Nas. Barber who came up in the industry as a producer/engineer also talked about making the jump from behind the scenes to the front runner as the main man MC, now on Universal Records.

Nas who helped groom Barber as he was an intern at Sony Records during the recording of Street Disciple, Nas also picked up Barber to have him engineer/record/produce for a few tracks he did in Miami with rapper, Rick Ross.

Barber was asked many times about his relationship with Style Network TV Show host, and former Boy Meets Girl, Tapanga. Barber stated that both had moved on from the relationship, and only that, Danielle, "Love her some Michael."

Danielle and Barber dated briefly in 2009, but as "Tapanga" tries to move into hollywood for second go around, Barber said she is, "Not interested in having the old drug addict boyfriend in her shadow."

Michael is set to release, "The Purple Aces Tape" May 25th with DJ Fade and his Universal debut, "Shotguns and Canned Goods", is set to release this summer. A single from the Universal album, "She's My Pennie Lane", is already available online via Itunes and free websites, and seems to be moving a pretty rapid pace.

Barber has also mentioned that Nas and the Nasir Music Group are interested in using him for marketing of the yet untitled Nas album due out at the end of this year.
