Michael Keegan Invited to Testify Before United States Senate Committee in National Whistleblower Hearing

Last week the United States Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs contacted Morris E. Fischer, Esq. to facilitate Mr. Michael Keegan’s testimony before the committee, now set for June 11, 2015. The Committee is headed by Senators Ron Johnson (R-WI) and Thomas Carper (D-DE). Other Committee members include John McCain (R-AZ) and U.S. Presidential candidate Rand Paul (R-KY). Mr. Keegan will be one of three whistleblowers testifying before the Committee.  Morris E. Fischer, Esq., will be representing Mr. Keegan before the U.S. Senate Committee.

Michael Keegan, represented by Morris E. Fischer, Esq., was hired by the Social Security Administration (SSA) as Associate Commissioner for Facilities and Supply Management in August, 2011.

In late 2012 and again in March, 2013, Mr. Keegan, whose job duties entailed monitoring the Agency's costs and expenditures, blew the whistle on a number of critical items, then faced retaliation. Mr. Keegan retained Morris E. Fischer, LLC in late 2013 and the office has been representing him ever since. Mr. Fischer also represents Mr. Keegan before the Merit Systems Protection Board.

The Senate hearing, “Blowing the Whistle on Retaliation: Accounts of Current and Former Federal Agency Whistleblowers”, will take place June 11, 2015. Mr. Keegan will testify before the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.
