Even in the most challenging times, one Michigan sales organization hasn't been slowed a bit. Suburban Aviation, a local Cessna aircraft dealer was honored on Wednesday at Cessna's annual award ceremony held this year in Montreal. The sales team at Suburban received a very special award for selling the most Cessna 172 Skyhawks worldwide as well as recognition for achieving 144% of their 2009 sales goal. Present at the ceremony were Tom Trumbull, the President of Suburban Aviation, Sue Trumbull, Controller and Suburban's Director of Sales, Pat Redmond.

"Although we're in the midst of the toughest economic times our organization has experienced, I attribute our successful year to the unmatched value of our Cessna airplanes," remarked Redmond.

In fact, Cessna's single engine models, the 172 Skyhawk, 182 Skylane, 206 Stationair and 400 Corvalis hold the highest retention values of all airplanes in their class according to the Aircraft Blue Book Price Digest. The 172 Skyhawk, in particular is most often flown as a training airplane at flight schools in Michigan and worldwide due to its excellent value, dependability and forgiving characteristics.

"I'm anxious for an economic recovery, but in the meantime, it's great to be on the Cessna team providing our customers with a business tool that will help them move their businesses to better times," commented Tom Trumbull. "Our partnership with Cessna is critical to our success and I truly appreciate our relationship. Cessna is in business for the long haul, and so are we."

Suburban Aviation is headquartered in Ottawa Lake, Michigan and has offices in Howell and Ypsilanti. Suburban Aviation has been a Cessna Aircraft partner since 1986 providing flight training, sales and service of new and used Cessna airplanes. Suburban Aviation ranks #4 in sales of new Cessna airplanes worldwide since the restart of single engine production in 1997.
