Mickey Rooney Raffles a Ferrari

Mickey Rooney (born September 23,1920) is an American film actor and entertainer whose film, television, and stage appearances span nearly his entire lifetime. During his career he has won multiple awards, including an Honorary Academy Award, a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award. Working as a performer since he was a small child, he was a superstar as a teenager for the films in which he played Andy Hardy, and he has had one of the longest careers of any actor, to date spanning more than 80 years. For a younger generation of fans, he gained international fame for his leading role as Henry Dailey in The Family Channel's The Adventures of the Black Stallion, as well as the film itself. He most recently appeared in the movie Night at the Museum as Gus the security guard.

The Mission of St. Francis, a 42-year-old Fort Lauderdale based alcohol and drug treatment center, provides free treatment and other social services for the poor. They are proud to have helped over 10,000 people fight their addictions. The Mission is the oldest treatment center in Florida, and all operations are funded solely by private donations.

The Ferrari being raffled is a Ferrari F430 Spider that has a v6 Engine and a 6-speed sequential gear. It has an electric control differential, driver and passenger airbags and a power rack and pinion steering system. The winner of this car will be riding in style with climate control, AM/FM radio and CD, and leather seats. The car also features power windows and heated external windows. The drawing is scheduled to be held on September 10, 2011 (raffle sales end August 31, 2011). Once the drawing has taken place the winner will be notified within 24 hours by phone, e-mail or certified mail. Winners do not need to be present to win.
