MicroTech Recognized as Most Innovative Tech Company in the World
Online, December 8, 2011 (Newswire.com) - In competition with more than 1000 companies in 40 nations, leading technology systems integrator MicroTech has been named a Red Herring 2011 Global Top 100 award winner. The prestigious business acclaim honors the most bold and far reaching private technology companies and entrepreneurs from across the globe. The Top 100 winners were chosen December 7 at the Red Herring Global Forum in Los Angeles. Previous winners of the Red Herring award include Facebook, Twitter, and Google.
The Red Herring Global Award is the result of a year's work of judging, reviewing, and researching thousands of privately held companies from around the world. The pool of candidates for the award is the top private companies from the regional competitions in Europe, North America, and Asia. MicroTech was named to the Red Herring North America 100 in June.
MicroTech provides Technology Services, Systems Integration, Product Solutions, Unified Communications & Collaboration, Cloud Computing, and Innovation & Integration to the public sector, as well as Fortune 500 enterprises - managing more than half-a-million tech users daily. A prime contractor on more than 100 Federal projects and 28 procurement vehicles, MicroTech offers access to over 2500 vendors and over a million tech products and services across the government.
"Winning the Red Herring global award is the culmination of hard work, strong growth, technology innovation, and never being satisfied about where we stand," said Tony Jimenez, MicroTech President & CEO. "As an emerging small business, MicroTech was always judged on a local or regional scale. Now with MicroTech personnel in more than 30 states and onsite with customers around the world, it's clear that our small business has grown up. And the best is yet to come. We are looking closely at Central America, South America, and the Caribbean as potential growth sectors. With our line of MicroKloud™ cloud computing and migration technology solutions, we are well positioned to expand into new markets in 2012."
To make it to the world finals, MicroTech was judged on a range of qualitative and quantitative metrics, including technology innovation, financial performance, growth criterion, management's execution standards, potential globalization of the strategy and market share improvement.
Digital Software Magazine recently recognized MicroTech as the fastest growing privately-held software service provider in the world. And SmartCEO Magazine chose MicroTech as the 2011 GovStar "Technical Trailblazer" winner - the top government contractor that has developed an innovative technological product or breakthrough.
"MicroTech has performed exceptionally in its field and strongly deserves to be singled out..." said Alex Vieux, Red Herring Chairman, in an earlier statement.
