Minnesotan grabs Hollywood by the project.
Writer-director-actor, Nat Christian is taking to the cold weather as Minneapolis producer, Jude Moore, jumps on as Executive Producer on Nat's project, MONDAY.
Online, November 19, 2009 (Newswire.com) - MONDAY PRODUCTIONS and Nat Christian have engaged Jude Moore of Minnesota's Bigfoot Entertainment, as Executive Producer for its upcoming hard hitting feature, MONDAY, which depicts L.A.'s brutal homelessness arena within the context of a political drama and a passionate healthcare debate.
Although MONDAY is being considered by several of Hollywood's A listers, Christian and Moore feel that the lead actor has to be absolutely right - "Or we'll go with an unknown. And if we can't find an actor who can portray the wide range of emotions, we'll just keep looking"
Mr. Moore recently produced several television shows and films for Bigfoot Entertainment located in L.A., Hong Kong and Cebu Philippines. Two of the features he worked on will be released worldwide in 2009/2010, DISARMED and DEEP GOLD. DISARMED debuted at the Action On Film Festival in L.A., while DEEP GOLD secured distribution with Arsenal Pictures. As a producer for Activision-Blizzard, one of the largest video game publishers in the world, and working with Dreamworks, Moore just wrapped up production on three major titles: MADAGASCAR KARTZ, ARCADE ZONE, and MOUNTAIN SPORTS.
"I was swayed by Jude's passion for this project after he saw a table reading of it in Minneapolis. So, instead trying to set it up through normal Hollywood channels, I'm going with his passion and accomplishments" reports Nat Christian, writer-director-producer of MONDAY. Christian adds, "MONDAY is primarily about a return to having "grace" with regard to those who simply can't exist in our society as the norm does." Christian recently wrote, directed and starred in the independent feature, CHANNELS, which also stars Kim Oja, Ed Asner, John Kassir, Taylor Negron and Joan Van Ark. Just prior to CHANNELS, Christian directed and produced FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE, starring Florence Henderson. Both features, made for under $200k each, were festival entries and were immediately picked up for distribution by Vanguard Cinema.
"The timing is absolutely perfect for MONDAY. Nat has done a great job of powerfully addressing the current healthcare situation, while making a strong point about human decency and having compassion for others", says Mr. Moore.
