Missouri Attracts Seventh Company Within Weeks

Trinity Architectural Products locates in Kansas City, brings 50 jobs

ST. LOUIS (July 15, 2010) - The Missouri Partnership, the state's non-profit business attraction and marketing organization, and regional development teams in Missouri have successfully finalized a deal with Trinity Architectural Products. Trinity Architectural Products is the seventh company to announce they are relocating to Missouri within the last few weeks.

"The decision of Trinity Architectural Products to locate its business in Kansas City is another indication of the strength of Missouri's economic resurgence, which has created approximately 30,000 new jobs since February," said Governor Jay Nixon. "I am pleased that a targeted package of state tax incentives, which are providing an excellent return on investment to Missouri taxpayers in terms of the 50 new manufacturing jobs created, was instrumental in making this announcement a reality."

Trinity Architectural Products, a custom manufacturer of wood products, has selected Kansas City, Mo. for its new manufacturing facility. The new facility will be located at 4515 East 75th Street in Swope Industrial Park. Trinity promises to bring 50 full-time, permanent jobs within one year in the areas of production, project managers, engineers, administrative and management. Trinity Architectural Products will be the only commercial architectural minority owned business in the Kansas City area.

"As a company we looked not only for a place to expand our business but also to a community our employees could call home," said Phil Hernandez, Owner of Trinity Architectural Products. "After careful consideration, we found a facility here that would better meet our long term needs as a growing company."

Along with Missouri Partnership, The Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City (EDCKC) had been working to coordinate Trinity's plans. The manufacturing company will be relocating from Lenexa, Kan. Kansas was also under consideration for the bid, but Trinity's continued growth led them to look out of state. The new facility in Kansas City, Mo. works best for their long-term needs.

"We are pleased to welcome Trinity Architectural Products as a new business in Kansas City," remarked Jeff Kaczmarek, President & CEO at Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, Missouri. "This company, along with a growing number of others, has recognized Kansas City for having the resources needed to be successful in business. We anticipate that Kansas City's strategic location, competitive business model, and talented workforce will satisfy their needs as they continue to grow."

This is the seventh company The Missouri Partnership and regional development teams have recruited since mid-April 2010. Since April, Missouri has welcomed Jet Midwest, Alpla, IBM, Linen King, The National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators and Unisys Corp. This widespread effort is key to Missouri's growth and development and unifies communities across the state. Missouri is home to many of the top cities in the country for job growth according to NewGeography's 2010 BestCities rankings.
