MobiStories Scores Again With Award Winning Interactive Digital Picture Book, Little Blue Penguin

MobiStories, digital books, interactive books and book apps for kids released its next interactive book, Little Blue Penguin to great acclaim. It includes narration by kids in three languages, music, sound effects and a quiz at the end.

Doylestown, PA; April 08, 2010 - Still Motion Media, recently recognized by Mom's Choice Awards by winning first place for "Best in Family Friendly Products," has gone on to win even further accolades with the launch of its new interactive children's digital picture book, "Little Blue Penguin," by Patricia L. Atchison. Originally published in hardback by Woodlily Publishers, this book is now available as a MobiStories app for an iPhone or iPod, and a download for a PC or Mac computer.

The first review of the app under their headline, 'iPhone Book Apps Get Sophisticated,' said, "The Little Blue Penguin is a rocking iPhone book app .... and receives 5 out of 5 CrazyMikes Head's for awesome iPhone book app that can be listened to or read in 3 languages." Little Blue Penguin is a sweet adventure about a little girl and her stuffed toy and illustrates in simple terms the relationship between colors and emotions.

Little Blue Penguin features narration by children in English, Spanish and Chinese with easy to follow text , accompanied by a whimsical music score and user directed sound effects and animations on every page to enhance the reading experience. Kids can learn a few words of a new language by mixing and matching the narration and text languages at any point in the book. Users can follow along in a 'read to me' mode or simply go back and forth by swiping the pages themselves. At the end of the book, kids can check their comprehension by taking the quiz and being applauded for the correct answer or encouraged to try again.

MobiStories are developed from existing published books. Each book is individually transformed into the digital space with the expertise of Hollywood graphics and audio professionals. "Our mission is to get more kids reading again by making books more appealing and accessible on the devices our 21st century kids use every day," said Still Motion Media partner Christopher Kennedy. "Digital picture books are a wonderful and calming substitute to the more active portable video games kids play, and are a perfect assistant for busy Moms and Dads while out shopping, on a flight, in the car, or at the doctor's office."

The company already has many apps available for the iPhone with plenty more in production in all formats including the new iPad. The next big release will be based on Tom Paxton's irresistibly catchy song "The Marvelous Toy" with stunning illustrations by Steve Cox and hilarious animations and sound effects on every page that will make children, both young and old, want to experience it over and over again.
