Models Direct Model Peter Takes Expenses Paid Trip to Portugal!

Online, August 10, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Modelling is often associated with a jet-setting lifestyle but sadly this is less true of commercial modelling. However, when Models Direct received a request for a model earlier this month they were really excited for the lucky model who would be chosen. Read on to find out why!

The request that Models Direct received was from pharmaceuticals company Synergy. They were looking for a male model to take part in an assignment in Portugal, expenses paid of course!

The model was required to take part in a corporate event in Lisbon, playing the role of a nervous patient in a role play in front of 800 medical professionals. He would also have to present a monologue - fairly daunting stuff!

The model who was selected to jet off to Portugal was 49-year-old Peter from Essex. Peter is a dab hand at performing having worked in a number of amateur dramatic productions and on TV, including in Holby City!

In his feedback Peter admitted to making one small mistake in the monologue but like a true professional hid it well. "Learning the lines was a big responsibility, and the most daunting thing about the assignment," Peter informed Models Direct. "I'm used to working with a camera, where you can correct your slip-ups. You feel responsible to the client and you know that a mistake could ruin the presentation."

Peter had only good things to say about the clients he was working with and praised them for their encouragement and reassurance. He also had no complaints about the travel and accommodation. There was a delay on the return flight but he couldn't complain when there was a chauffeured car waiting at the airport to take him home!

Finally, model Peter told Models Direct what he would say to others considering joining the agency. "Definitely go for it!" he responded enthusiastically. "I was feeling despondent about the fact I hadn't had any work, and suddenly I had this assignment, which was the best job I've ever had with anyone. You've got to stick with Models Direct. There's someone out there looking for you - it just takes a little bit of time. You never know what's around the corner!"
