Mojarto Salutes Womanhood With Art
India, March 8, 2016 (Newswire.com) - On the occasion of International Women’s Day this March, Mojarto salutes the dignity, mettle and determination of ladies world over with two special curations – Feminine Unbound, a collection of works selected by Padma Shree Anjolie Ela Menon in collaboration with The Indian Council of UN Relations and compiled by Nupur Kundu, ICUNR Awardee of 2015 and Power Couples Of The Art World featuring the works of reputed ceramic sculptors Dipalee and P.R Daroz and famed painters Madhavi and Manu Parekh.
If women are the real architects of society, art should be called their blueprint. Mojarto’s curation Feminine Unbound attempts to showcase both senior and upcoming artists practising their unique genres. The list includes artworks by Anjolie Ela Menon, Nayanaa Kanodia, Nin Taneja, Saba Hasan, Vimmi Indra, Sahar Zaman, Ranjeeta Kant, Maduri Bhaduri, Gogi Sarojpal, Seema Kohli, Nupur Kundu, Pooja Iranna, Apana Caur, Jayasri Burman and Kavita Jaiswal. As per Anjolie Ela Menon, the exhibition is merely a sample of what women artists are achieving today.
Power Couples Of The Art World attempts to explore women artists complementing their successful artist husbands in the Indian art scene today. Through the showcase of painters Manu, Madhavi Parekh and ceramic sculptors Dipalee and P.R Daroz, Mojarto explores the chemistry between the duo spouses, their inspirations and how art permeates through their everyday life. The individualistic yet complimenting styles of the couples are visible to viewers browsing through the curation.
Speaking on curations, Manisha Lath Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO of Mojarto says, “On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Mojarto endeavours to showcases the achievement of women artists who are currently at the forefront of Indian art. We are honoured to collaborate with Padma Shree awardee Anjolie Ela Menon and ICUNR to bring forth thought provoking artworks in Feminine Unbound. Power Couples of the Art World on the other hand explore the bond between spouses and how genders can support each other to reach great heights. We hope our collectors support our belief for gender parity with this display of the potential of women artists.”
Feminine Unbound and Power Couples Of The Art World is currently live on Mojarto.
