Monarch Private Capital Welcomes Marco Cordova as Director of West Coast Tax Credit Investments

Los Angeles, CA, April 19, 2017 (Newswire.com) - ​​​​Monarch Private Capital, a market leader in investment tax credit (ITCs) funds is pleased to announce Marco Cordova has joined the company in the newly created position of Director of West Coast Tax Credit Investments.  Cordova successfully closed several large tax credit deals and expanded Monarch’s client base with Blue Chip corporations since joining the Company in January.  Cordova also works closely with Chrissie Merrill, Monarch Private Capital’s Director of Film Finance on film and TV tax credit placement and financing projects.

Cordova has served in a number of senior tax management positions, focusing on opportunities to maximize tax credits and incentives for companies. In his new role, Cordova’s primary focus is providing large companies federal and state tax credit investments from mainly renewable energy, historic, or low income housing properties, as well as film and TV placement transactions.

Prior to joining Monarch Private Capital, Cordova served as Vice President of EP Financial Solutions at Entertainment Partners.  During his tenure with EP, he created and managed the company’s tax credit placement business, placing over $700MM in film and non-film tax credits since 2010.  He also served as co-editor of several international and domestic production incentive publications. Prior to EP, Cordova worked at Sony Pictures Entertainment, where he was actively involved with the MPAA and film incentives.
