Montelago Celtic Festival Launches Inaugural Winter Festival - Snow
Online, February 15, 2013 (Newswire.com) - The Montelago Celtic Festival, which is known as one of Italy's largest Celtic festivals held every August on the alpine plains of Colfiorito in central Italy, is launching its first winter edition. Entitled SNOW, the winter festival is a series of five indoor concerts featuring some of most prominent Italian groups from the summer festival, who will share their repertoires in the atmospheric theaters and pubs of Le Marche, central Italy, from February 16th to March 15th, 2013.
"After celebrating our tenth successful edition of the summer festival last year, we felt that the growing community of lovers of Celtic music that have supported us so enthusiastically and faithfully over the last decade deserve something to tide them over the winter," said organizer Maurizio Serafini. "SNOW is a different type of festival offering a different focus, with the warmth of the theatres and pubs providing different backdrops and more intimate atmospheres to enjoy the poetic and evocative sounds from the fantasy world of elves, fairies, druids and warriors. Naturally we've also organized the concerts to build to a sort of crescendo, culminating with the festival of Irish festivals: Saint Patrick."
