Moran Transportation Corporation Buys 10 New Natural Gas Trucks

Moran Transportation Corporation announced today that it has purchased an additional 10 natural gas straight trucks for use throughout their LTL network.

Moran Transportation Corporation announced today that it has purchased an additional 10 natural gas straight trucks for use throughout their LTL network.  The new alternative fuel trucks further expand Moran’s green initiatives and provide Moran with lower cost of energy and a reduction on their carbon footprint.    

“We have been very impressed with our current natural gas vehicles and know that these ten new units will be a very effective within our network.  We expect these trucks to operate in excess of 400,000 miles each year.  These trucks will be more efficient to operate and better for our overall environment.” Said Ciarán Finn, Director of Operations for Moran Transportation Corporation.  “Our goal is to continue to support alternative energy sources as we grow our business.” 

Moran Transportation Corporation is a growing regional Midwestern LTL carrier that services the states of Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.  They operate 8 network terminals throughout their core market and provide next day LTL services including valued added services such as liftgate, inside delivery, and residential deliveries.  They currently operate in excess of 300 trucks within their network including 16 natural gas straight trucks.
