• About Zombie Prom
Zombie Prom is based on a book by John Dempsey and Hugh M. Murphy, with lyrics by Dana P. Rowe. Zombie Prom is produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc. Set in the 1950's, this "girl loves ghoul" rock and roll, Off-Broadway musical takes place at Enrico Fermi High, where the law is laid down by a zany, tyrannical principal. When Toffee falls for the "bad boy" Jonny, her family forces here to end the romance. Jonny takes off on his motorcycle to the nuclear waste dump. He returns glowing and determined to reclaim Toffee's heart and take her to the prom. Featuring original 50's style music and songs, Zombie Prom is sure to keep the audience rocking in their seats.

"When asked by Modern Turf, FAC's Youth Theatre programming sponsor about doing a show with all teens that might be a little hipper and/or cooler, I thought what could be cooler and hipper than zombies and proms? Other than the show Grease, I couldn't think of any others that might bring middle and high school students to the FAC for a big show," said Stevenson. "Just the line, 'He's come back from the dead as a teenage nuclear zombie,' makes me giggle," he said.
