More University Research Confirms Effectiveness of Natural Formula Against Prostate Cancer

Researchers at Indiana University and Methodist Research Institute publish the dramatic effects of a natural formula against prostate cancer. This is the second in-depth study supporting the effectiveness of this formula against the disease. The first study published in the Integrative Cancer Therapies came out of Columbia University in 2010, and showed the same impressive results.

Lead investigator Dr. Daniel Sliva says, "The formula we studied has been shown to inhibit growth of human androgen dependent as well as independent prostate cancer cells, and suppresses the metastatic potential of these cells." For more details on the study's findings check out the latest online issue of the International Journal of Oncology. The all-natural, doctor-designed formula combines phytonutrients, botanically enhanced medicinal mushrooms, and antioxidants that work together to provide prostate protection. Dr. Sliva continues, "We were able to identify specific genes which are responsible for growth of human prostate cancer cells and show, on the molecular level, how it affects the cancer cells."

In the United States, prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men, and 1 in 6 will develop prostate cancer during his lifetime. Despite significant advances in prostate cancer treatment, available treatments for advanced stage prostate cancer offer little hope. However, as this second study shows, this potent prostate formula can be crucial in the fight against highly invasive androgen independent prostate cancer. "This unique mixture of ingredients produced strong results at low concentrations, demonstrating its synergistic beneficial effects," says Dr. Isaac Eliaz, one of the authors and the developer of the formula.

Dr. Eliaz explains, "The synergistic effects of the formula in killing both hormonal dependent and hormonal independent Prostate cancer cell lines is done through critical hormone modulation, cellular protection, and vital immune enhancement. Most importantly this study shows the formula's ability to stop the growth and invasive behavior of cancer cells which do not respond to hormone therapy."

Cancer metastasis is a complex process consisting of cell adhesion, cell migration, and cell invasion, and the inhibition of some of these events is crucial for the suppression of cancer metastasis. "Fortunately, the formula we studied inhibits all of these processes," explains Dr. Sliva, "natural compounds in this formula are known to be without the side effects associated with traditional cancer chemotherapy drugs." Ongoing preclinical research on the prostate formula in cancer models continues to show encouraging results, and additional studies are forthcoming. Dr. Eliaz continues, "This is truly exciting because it's the second study out of a major university proving the effectiveness of this powerful natural formula against a life threatening disease."
