Morgan Drexen Partners with Orange County Operation Santa Claus

Online, December 26, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Anaheim, CA 2010- Operation Santa Claus is an incredible and worthy organization that depends entirely on goodwill and volunteers. Operation Santa Claus has a very long history dating back to the 1920's, when New York City postal workers pooled together some money, to buy gifts for poor children in the city.

In California it was local social workers who started buying toys for foster parents and young children who had been abandoned.

In Orange County much like other parts of America the recession has hit charities and organizations such as Operation Santa Claus hard. Mona Gustafson has been part of Orange's County Operation Santa Claus for many years. "It's a wonderful organization that brings a lot of joy to families and children at Christmas. We start collecting donation from December 1, until December 23rd. We have roughly 350 volunteers who give their time to sorting and stacking the toy donations," says Mona.

Orange County like many areas throughout the US is struggling financially. The economy has not only hit the residents and businesses of the region hard but also the local charities.

Morgan Drexen an Anaheim based company decided to lend a helping hand by donating both new and used toys to the worthy cause. "I believe that a lot of the people that gave years ago are now in need and so that is why we don't get as many items in. You know, a lot of the people instead are volunteering because they still want to give, says Mona"

Morgan Drexen provides support services to attorneys throughout America. Many of the attorneys work with consumers facing high debt. Morgan Drexen are aware of what devastation high debt can cause a family.

Despite this year being worse on donations than Mona has ever seen she is grateful to all her volunteers and donations. "If you still want to donate, we are short of the usual items which are the teen gifts, especially the flat irons, curling irons and hair products," admits Mona

Mona had a special message for Morgan Drexen CEO Walter Ledda who's idea it was to help this local organization. "Thank you very much for everything you have given, come on by sometime I will show you around, and put you to work," says Mona.
Ledda admits, "We are very grateful to the old and new clients we have worked with in 2010 and that relationship allows us to give back to our local community."
