Motorcycle Poker Run, Skid Row Concert to Raise Funds For Prevention of Child Abuse & Neglect

Online, May 10, 2011 (Newswire.com) - No, the gang of bikers who'll soon be cruising the roads of the Klamath Falls area won't be out raising, well, you know. What they will be raising is funds for donation to Klamath County's Stop the Hurt Coalition. Success is in the cards for Rip City Riders Oregon's 4th Annual Summer Fun Run & Festival . On Saturday morning, thousands of supporters will gather for a charity motorcycle poker run.

Poker run registration includes poker hand and run pin for $20. Passengers are not charged unless they want a poker hand and/or a run pin. The route has not been determined by previous runs

Festivities are free and entertainment is suitable for all ages. Attractions include poker run, bike games, tattoo contests, live bands, bike show and contests, vendors, concessionaires, a live auction, appetizer cook-off, a bike sale and much more. The public can purchase tasting tickets to taste cook-off appetizers. A sample is typically just "2-4 bites" (similar to in-store food samples). Each entry must provide at least 100 crowd samples. Judging will be done by a "Crowd Favorite" and "Showmanship" awards.

The bike show will be held, Saturday, July 9th. Bike Show registrants should be checked in by Saturday at 1pm. Judging begins promptly at 2:30 pm. Winners will be announced from the bandstand at 3:30pm. Winning categories include: American Class, Foreign Class, Custom Class, Builders Class, Sport bike, Best n' Show.

This year's event will feature SKID ROW with the opening act, the PURRFECT ANGELZ live in concert, adjacent to the park on Saturday night. Skid Row Concert tickets are available on the Rip City Oregon website for $25 (postmarked by 6/1), $30 at the door, $40 VIP (VIP tickets include front row seating, private bar and restrooms, and space is limited, service fees apply).
