Mount Sequoyah Hosts 'Smartathon' Trivia Night to Benefit the Parker Hall Renovation Fund

Mount Sequoyah Retreat and Conference Center Will Host The Sequoyah Smartathon in November

Mount Sequoyah Retreat and Conference Center, a nonprofit community center in Fayetteville, Ar., will host the Sequoyah Smartathon benefitting the Parker Hall Renovation Fund, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on November 2 at the Bailey Center. The event will feature dinner, drinks, a silent auction and a team trivia competition. The winning trivia team will have the opportunity to pick a charity to receive 10 percent of the night’s proceeds.

Tickets to the event may be purchased for 50 dollars per person and sponsorship opportunities are available. Each ticket includes dinner, drinks and trivia participation. Free childcare will be provided if reserved in advance.

The event is meant to raise money for the renovation of Parker Hall. Parker

Hall was built in 1924 by the Epworth League of the Methodist Church, an organization designed to serve the needs of young adults.

Mount Sequoyah Retreat and Conference Center was founded in 1922 by the Methodist Episcopal Church, according to the center’s website, but has recently shifted to a nonprofit status. Mount Sequoyah hosts events, summer camps, weddings, retreats and more. The venue provides features that accommodate various gatherings, and events, of any size. While the physical presence of Mount Sequoyah is defined in large part by its more than 40 structures, the diverse natural beauty of the grounds also contributes to the retreat’s enduring appeal.

The center offers an alternative to the typical hotel, convention center or event venue. The campus features houses, cottage rooms, historic halls, lodges, a large dining hall, a beautiful swimming pool, a gazebo, outdoor and indoor chapels and more.

Mount Sequoyah Retreat and Conference Center is a staple of the Northwest Arkansas community and looks forward to continuously bringing people together for celebration, education, and spiritual transformation.

To reserve childcare, please contact Emily Gentry at: [email protected] or 479-443-4531. To buy tickets or to learn more about how to sponsor this event, visit: https://mountsequoyah.networkforgood.com/events
