The initiative is led by the MoveOn Colchester campaign which seeks to promote active transportation (i.e. any form of human-powered transportation, like walking or biking) in Colchester County, Nova Scotia. This campaign started in 2009 and is a partnership of the Living Earth Council, the Municipality of the County of Colchester, the Town of Truro, and the Village of Bible Hill. MoveOn Colchester strives to show people that the simple daily actions of walking work, biking to school, or in line skating to the store, results in countless health benefits to the individual, environment and community as a whole.
