Music Artist CJ Stain Is Making Music That Breaks Stereotypes of Gender and Empowers Women

CJ Stain, an actor and R&B singer with VIE VIB Records Music Group, is taking on the issue of gender inequality and has remade artist Sage the Gemini's song Good Thing featuring Nick Jonas. The song has been extremely popular and garnered numerous views online.

Actor and R&B singer CJ Stain is known for his song remakes. His most successful to date has been his remake of Sage the Gemini’s song “Good Thing” featuring Nick Jonas. His remake has also received recognition for its old school hip hop cadence, which has been extremely popular with audiences.

Stain is known for his activism and is often disheartened by how women are represented in the music industry. He notes that many of the lyrics and images used present an ideal that is unrealistic, stereotypical and off-putting. His goal is to produce music that scrutinizes and expands society’s social paradigm and structure of gender as a whole. Stain’s work aims to target culture’s gender inequality and social stigma with women. Through his music, Stain wants to challenge the stereotypes often found in musical lyrics and instead create music that empowers young girls and women. Through this empowerment, he aspires that all women feel strong, valued and most importantly respected in all areas in life.

To accomplish this, Stain taps into his ingenuity , he utilizes poetic odes in all three forms, Pindaric, Horatian, and Irregular to produce his music. Stain creates his music by poetic alliteration that are forms are thought provoking lyrics that work to identify issues surrounding gender equality and the social stigma of gender. He wants to broaden the minds of his fans and those who listen on the subject of gender equality and to create a conversion.   Given the nature of his work, to Stain’s music artistry deserves serious analysis and review.

Stain recently completed his rap rendition remake of “This is For My Girls – Single.” The song, by Missy Elliott, Kelly Clarkson, Chloe x Halle, Zendaya, Kelly Rowland, Lea Michele, Janelle Monae, and Jadagrace, is as "global call-to-action" in support of the First Lady Michelle Obamas' Let Girls Learn initiative as well as her #62MillionGirls campaign, which is targeted towards helping young girls around the world complete their education. Stain’s remake rendition of the song will be released soon.

Stain is currently looking for a new team to help him carry out his musical vision. He is searching for the right writers and producers to assist him as he goes into the studio to create his own original music through his alliteration poetry.
