MXP4 outlines plans to move further into social music gaming

MXP4, the first social music gaming studio, today announced that over 30 major artists are using MXP4's first social music game for Facebook to engage fans, encourage viral distribution and increase purchases. Artists featuring MXP4's PUMP IT app on their Facebook pages include Enrique Iglesias, David Guetta, Cheryl Cole, Tiesto, Nelly Furtado, Lloyd Banks, Adam Lambert, UnderOath, Duran Duran, Neon Trees, Ingrid Michaelson, 10 Years, Scorpions, iSQUARE, Tonic and more. In addition, PUMP IT exceeded one million active users in its first month with 40% sharing and competing against Facebook friends.

Transformed from listeners to active players, PUMP IT-playing fans are more likely to distribute the music virally and make music-related purchases. The music game also keeps fans coming back by allowing them to uncover new tracks the more they play. Functionality includes score keeping, social play, game and score sharing and more. The built-in ranking system recognizes users' super-fan status, displaying the top five scores to both the artist and other fans.

MXP4's PUMP IT represents the first iteration of MXP4's social music gaming solution that bridges the popularity of music players with the revenue potential of social games on Facebook. MXP4 plans to launch the first in-game monetization tests and release additional games in the next quarter.

MXP4 CEO Albin Serviant confirmed plans to move further into social gaming: "We are elated that so many top artists have adopted our solutions to give their fans the social, interactive and fun experience that brings them to social networking sites. By combining the music, our patented interactive music technology and social gaming, we are able to offer one of the most powerful fan engagement and monetization platforms available."

MXP4 recently strengthened its management team by hiring former Playfish executive, Xavier Louis to lead the social music gaming product strategy. For more information about MXP4, go to www.MXP4.com.

About MXP4
Founded in 2007 with the idea to create a new format for interactive music, MXP4 has developed a remixable and video game like music experience for artists, fans, labels and brands, allowing music fans not only to play the music but play with it. Its proprietary technology is based on an analytic engine which performs a numerical treatment and segmentation of an mp3 track. The solution allows one to turn any MP3 into a casual game, easily embeddable within social networks. Both the ease of integration with social networks and the social gaming potential open the door for strong monetization. The company is baked by Orkos Capital, Sofinnova Partners and Ventech.
