NAFA Presents First Fleet Management Seminars in Hawaii

NAFA's fleet management seminars are expanding beyond the Continental U.S. thanks to a partnership with Mercury Associates, Inc. The first such seminar is scheduled for March 7-11 in Hawaii.

For the first time ever, NAFA's Fleet Management Seminar (FMS) and Advanced Fleet Management Seminar (AFMS) will be presented in Hawaii. The seminars, presented in cooperation with Mercury Associates, Inc., are scheduled for March 7 - 11, 2011 at the Marriott Waikiki Beach, Honolulu, Hawaii.

In addition to the standard fleet management topics, which include business management; maintenance management; asset management; financial management; fleet information management; risk management; vehicle fuel management, and professional development, seminar topics will include fleet issues and regulations specific to Hawaii and the U.S. West Coast.

Instructors include Paul Lauria, President, Mercury Associates; Brad Kelley, Vice President and Director of Information Technology, Mercury Associates; and Janis Christensen, CAFM, Senior Manager, Mercury Associates.

Mercury Associates specializes in fleet management consulting and education services. Based on a partnership agreement, Mercury delivers NAFA's fleet management seminars in locations that are not readily served by NAFA's volunteer instructors. Other seminar locations outside the continental U.S. include Alaska and Puerto Rico.

NAFA's Fleet Management Seminar (FMS) is designed for fleet professionals with less than five years experience in fleet management. The Advanced Fleet Management Seminar (AFMS) is designed for fleet professionals with more than five years experience, Certified Automotive Fleet Managers, Certified Automotive Fleet Specialists, and fleet managers seeking advanced fleet education.

Seating at both seminars is limited. There is an early bird special price for attendees registering before February 14, a discounted rate for fleet professionals attending both the Fleet Management and Advanced Fleet Management seminars, and a group discount for three or more attendees from the same organization.

NAFA is part of The Center, an alliance of associations, organizations, companies, and universities involved in vehicle fleet management brought together to advance industry professionalism through individual and organizational certification programs. The Center encourages all CAFM and CAFS candidates to attend NAFA's FMS and AFMS for hands-on, in-person education aligned with the CAFM and CAFS programs.
