Nashville Author Releases Self-Help Book on Feng Shui, Decluttering, and Life Transformation

Days after Nashville was deluged by record rainfall that resulted in the devastating aftermath of what experts call a "thousand year flood", author Tisha Morris releases a book, 27 Things to Feng Shui Your Home (Turner Publishing Company).

Her book, relates with clarity and ease many concepts found in feng shui which will help those of us dealing with the Nashville flood recovery effort release our attachment to the things we can't save and embrace the changes we are facing on a level which will carry us forward in harmony and with increased vigor. In her book, Tisha shares the ancient Chinese proverb that says, "If you want to change your life, move 27 things in your home" and explains why doing so is effective.

More than 27 things were moved in many homes in the Nashville area the first weekend in May. Many homes, cars, and businesses were flooded and destroyed. Tisha eloquently addresses the role such disasters play in shifting the energy of planetary flow in the featured articles section of her blog at http://www.mindbodyom.com, and speaks to the renewing and cleansing impact natural disasters have to restore balance and rejuvenate areas and lives.

With disaster comes renewal and compassion. As Nashvillians are making sense of the devastation, helping one another clean up and restore their lives, they will also be clearing away the debris of old patterns and attitudes. In purchasing new furnishings, remodeling and caring for each other, not only are they repairing the damage left by the flood, they are shifting the course of the lives which remain and embracing the opportunity to make a fresh start energetically.

Little did Tisha Morris know how needed and timely her book would be when she pitched her proposal to Turner Publishing to be part of their Good Things to Know series. Believing that becoming an author is in alignment with her divine purpose, she let go of the outcome all the while feeling that the book proposal would be accepted by Turner. And, she was right. The result is a book based on the Bagua map that shows in basic steps how to use the art of feng shui and concepts of energy flow to create an inviting, personal atmosphere in your home that will renovate your life.

Before becoming a certified life coach, feng shui consultant, energy healer, yoga teacher, and the author of 27 Things to Feng Shui Your Home (ISBN: 978-1-59652-567-2 ), Tisha Morris practiced law for ten years. Holding a Fine Arts degree in Interior Design, Tisha blends traditional feng shui techniques and interior design aesthetics with healing energy to transform a space as well as all those who occupy and enter it.

If you have read books on feng shui and found them too hard to understand, this book will be just what you are looking for. The 27 things are arranged in a logical order for someone who feels overwhelmed and doesn't know where to begin with improving their home. That being said, anyone can pick up the book, flip to a page, start creating change by changing the wall art, tossing out old pictures, rearranging furniture, cleaning a closet, or adding a mirror or crystal. Simple solutions like these will get you started and taking action to remove stagnant energy and get things flowing again.

"I selected the 27 things that I have seen make the most impact on either me or my clients, ranging from aspects of decluttering to traditional feng shui techniques," says Morris. "The feedback I hear from people after reading 27 Things is that it has inspired them to take action on improving their home which in effect correlates to positive changes in their life. Ultimately, this is my goal for this book and the passion that underlies it."

Tisha's transformational journey from attorney to healer has given her great experience to help others make desired changes in their lives. Her workshops and services are available in-person to those in the Nashville, Tennessee area, or remotely from her Web site http://www.tishamorris.com.
