National Automobile Museum Introduces Historical Thursday Talk on Space Race Innovation, Computers and Cars

RENO, Nev., March 26, 2018 (Newswire.com) - The National Automobile Museum has announced its next topic for the Second Thursday Talks will feature a discussion on Space Race Innovation, Computers and Cars.

The April talk will mark the museum's fourth talk of this dynamic series which will be Thursday, April 12, 2018, 1:30 - 2:00 p.m., in the Museum's Theatre. Enjoy a 30-minute talk, Q&A, refreshments and a unique piece of history.

Cost:
Free to Museum members. Included with paid admission.
Otherwise, $5 per person to attend the talk.

Space Race Innovation, Computers and Cars

Speaker: Lead Flight Director Paul McFarlane, Nevada Space Center 

Herz Gold Medal Winner and Best of Education Recipient from the Reno Gazette-Journal Paul McFarlane was selected as Outstanding Student Teacher at UNR and as the Senior Scholar for the College of Arts and Sciences. He’s taught K-College students for 24 years, created interdisciplinary space programs and worked as a writer and director of video projects. He’s trained at the Kennedy Space Center, Johnson Space Center and the US Space and Rocket Center and has represented Nevada at Honeywell Educators at Space Academy. McFarlane has also been in charge of Challenger Center interdisciplinary programs for Nevada for the last eight years.
