National Automobile Museum Raffles Off Corvette for 2018 Fundraiser

Annually, the nonprofit National Automobile Museum raffles off a car as a fundraising effort. In November 2018, one lucky winner will take home a limited-edition 1993 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 Coupe, in addition to helping support the National Automobile Museum (NAM).

With less than 12,000 original miles, the 2018 raffle car features a black exterior and beige interior, halogen fog lamps, dual heated outside mirrors, dual six-way power seats, air conditioning, a Delco Bose six-speaker stereo system with CD player, 17-inch aluminum wheels, a removable roof panel and power steering, windows and door locks.

Under the hood, it touts a 5.7-liter, twin-cam V8 engine with 405 horsepower, a six-speed manual ZF transmission and heavy-duty power disk brakes. It's number 40 of only 448 cars produced with the specialized ZR-1 performance and handling package in 1993, the 40th anniversary of the Corvette. In '93 the ZR-1 package alone cost more than $31,000, making the car very desirable today.

Raffle tickets can be purchased at the NAM, with one ticket available for $1, eight tickets for $5 and 40 tickets for $20. At the $20 level, the NAM team will take on the task of filling out the 40 tickets on the purchaser's behalf. Proceeds from raffle ticket sales go to benefit NAM's educational and historical preservation efforts. The car will be raffled off at the museum's anniversary party on Nov. 8, 2018.
