National Building Inspections Has the First and Only Inspector Certified in Radon Testing for Multi-Unit Facilities in the State of Michigan.

National Building Inspections, a premier company in “Protecting your Investment”, has the first inspector certified in Radon testing for multi-unit facilities, in the state of Michigan.

“The EPA along with NRPP has awarded the first Michigan multi-unit facility certification to Matt Marino, one of our premier inspectors. This certification is all encompassing for multi-residential units. For the first time, buildings such as condominiums and apartment complexes in Michigan, can be tested for radon by our organization”, says owner Chuck Marino. “In addition, Matt also holds a certification for commercial and industrial buildings; including but is not limited to schools, day care centers and office building units. Inherently[CM1]  most of these buildings have a lower subterranean level that gives the rise to radon levels, which is conducive to many Michigan areas.  Matt’s certification will allow the proper testing and the identification of presence of radon in your residence no matter if it’s an industrial building, school, multi residential complex, or single family home.”

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) and the Surgeon General's Office have estimated that as many as 20,000 lung cancer deaths are caused each year by radon. Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer. Radon-induced lung cancer costs the United States over $2 billion dollars per year in both direct and indirect health care costs. (Based on National Cancer Institute statistics of 14,400 annual radon lung cancer deaths - Oster, Colditz & Kelley, 1984)
