National Education Day 2012 - Sangam University Bhilwara Rajasthan
Online, November 23, 2012 (Newswire.com) - The National Education Day is celebrated across India on November 11 to commemorate the birthday of Bharat Ratna Maulana Abul Kalam Azad born this date in 1888, a great freedom fighter, an eminent educationist and the First Education Minister of Independent India.

Sangam University which finds its roots in ITM Bhilwara established in 2003 celebrated National Education Day by participating in ISTE Workshop on "Aakash for Education" under the National Mission on Education through ICT MHRD Government of India and conducted by IIT Bombay during 10 - 11 November 2012. The organizing team comprising of Mr Nitin Kothari, Mr Dharni Dhar Mishra, Mr Rishi Bhatnagar and Mr B L Pareek was led by Mr Dheeraj Jain of E&C Department. Faculty members and students across various departments of Sangam - ITM enthusiastically participated in the proceedings.
Prof BR Natarajan President - Vice Chancellor Sangam University addressed the gathering and urged them to contribute their very best for educational transformation which is a prerequisite for economic and social transformation of the nation at large.
The team at Sangam also joined the National Education Day event on 11 November 2012 at Vigyan Bhawan in which President of India Sri Pranab Mukherjee unveiled the Aakash Version 2.0 Tablet in the presence of Dr. M.M. Pallam Raju, Union Minister of Human Resource Development, Sh Jitin Prasada and Dr Shashi Tharoor, Ministers of State for Human Resource Development apart from Dr. Karan Singh, India's designated Representative to UNESCO, and Ms. Irina Bokova, Director-General UNESCO.
