National Lighthouse Museum on Staten Island NYC Needs Your Support to Win $250,000

Everyone from all over the United States can make a huge impact by voting through the Chase Community Giving program Staten Island, New York - The National Lighthouse Museum a non-profit working to preserve & raise funds for establishing The U.S

Through the utilization of the social media networks, the Chase Community Giving program has already directed more than $15 million dollars toward charities nationwide, putting the power to bring positive change across the nation into the hands of those who need it most. Due to enthusiasm, the program is being continued into this fall - giving hundreds of additional charities, including The National Lighthouse Museum the opportunity to win grants to further their mission.

The U.S. Lighthouse Services/ USLHS is the future home to the National Lighthouse Museum. When the Statue of Liberty was first erected, it was put under the supervision of the USLHS the "SUPER" Depot for all lighthouses in the country, based in St. George, Staten Island, New York.

We are only beginning to build the National Lighthouse Museum at the old US Lighthouse "SUPER" Depot site on Staten Island, initially opening a pilot museum in Building #11 and continuing the fund raising efforts toward the expansion of the National Lighthouse Museum into Building #10, partnering with government agencies, non-profits, corporations, foundations and other organizations to promote and support historical, educational, cultural, recreational and other related activities at the site, while enhancing the historical significance and maritime heritage of lighthouses throughout our nation.
Receiving even $25,000 would be an unbelievable opportunity to ensure the great work of this organization continues in Staten Island New York said National Lighthouse Museum Board President, Linda Dianto

The fall 2011 round of the Chase Community Giving program is designed to benefit smaller and local charities by being limited to 501c3 charities with operating budgets under $1 million.
