National Multiple Sclerosis Society Michigan Chapter Announces Walk Ms 2010 Schedule and Three New Locations

Thirteen sites across Michigan host Walk MS 2010, including new locations in Grand Haven, Milford and St. Clair. 22nd anniversary of the walk hosted by Michigan Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society. Register at www.walkMSmi.org.

Thirteen sites across Michigan have been selected for Walk MS 2010, including new locations in the cities of Grand Haven, Milford and St. Clair. This year marks the 22nd anniversary of the walk hosted by the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society Michigan Chapter.

Approximately 7,000 participants and volunteers are expected as the chapter hopes to raise at least $1.4 million to support the more than 18,000 people living with MS in Michigan.

Walk MS 2010 events take place throughout the state in May, June and September. Event days are filled with fun, festivities and local celebrities. Interested participants can register at www.walkMSmi.org.

 May 1: Midland
 May 2: Ann Arbor, Lansing, Troy
 May 8: Detroit, Kalamazoo, Wyandotte
 May 15: Frankenmuth, St. Clair
 May 22: Grand Rapids
 June 26: Traverse City
 September 11: Grand Haven
 September 12: Milford

"Walk MS is our chapter's largest fundraising event," said Elana Sullivan, president of the MS Society Michigan Chapter. "It is the rallying point of the MS movement, a time and place for the entire community to stand together and demonstrate a commitment to a world free of MS."
