As a talent agency owner and casting director, he will talk on the correct way to pursue a career in the modeling and acting business. The evening will be a combination of two of the seminars taught by Mr. Taylor for over two decades. The first, ACTION: How to Break In shows the path to a successful and self sustaining career in the modeling or acting businesses. The second Hello in There is a motivational seminar on self-improvement that raises self esteem and confidence levels in order to create a secure and confident participant.
Mr. Taylor taught acting and self-improvement at John Robert Powers in Philadelphia and at the Producers Club in New York City for more than two decades. He has also been a judge at the Modeling Association of America International. Mr. Taylor says, "Too many times people are taken in by "agencies" that come to town only to sell classes and picture deals. Their offerings do not reflect what is necessary to either break into or actually work in the business and leave many people broke and no where closer to their dreams." More often than not these talent scouts charge thousands of dollars and yet do not possess either the knowledge of how the business works or the information to actually book anyone as an actor or a model. They make perspective new talent feel as though they hold the keys to the kingdom. Meanwhile, real casting directors and designers can't find enough talent to supply their needs". Mr. Taylor's seminar will teach perspective talent how to make their dream a reality by explaining how to find work and auditions and how to stay motivated with high self-esteem to pursue with determination a successful career. "It makes no sense to teach someone how to fish and then leave them with no fishing pole", says Taylor. You must not only possess the confidence to walk into a room and attract the eye of everyone there, but you must also know where the rooms and those people are. It is simple and fun to learn and changes the life of who ever partakes forever. The seminar also will show how to locate working situations, prepare for acting auditions and modeling go sees in order to be successful. If you've ever wanted to know the true facts about the business or just to overcome shyness and become the person you always wanted to be, don't miss the opportunity to do so.
