NC State Bookstores Offers Tax Free Savings August 5 - 7

NC State Bookstores will offer tax free savings as part of North Carolina's sales tax holiday weekend August 5 - 7 in their new location on the ground floor of Harrelson Hall.

NC State Bookstores will offer tax free savings as part of North Carolina's sales tax holiday weekend August 5 - 7 in their new location on the ground floor of Harrelson Hall. Customers can purchase textbooks, computers, iPads, iPods, school supplies, apparel, sporting goods and more without tax.

Sales tax holiday orders can be made in-store or online. Orders placed online must be made between 12:00 a.m. Friday, August 5 and 11:59 p.m., Sunday, August 7. To accommodate orders during the tax holiday weekend, NC State Bookstores will have extended store hours.

Items that qualify for tax-free savings include:

Textbooks: All textbooks (new & used) individually priced $300.00 or less. Textbooks can be ordered online and held at the store for pick up. CLICK HERE to access your booklist via MyPack Portal.

Computers: Laptops, netbooks and desktop CPUs under $3,500 for each item. Apple iPads and iPods also included.

Computer Peripherals: Monitors, keyboards, mice, speakers, warranty & other internal upgrades are eligible when purchased with a computer.

Computer Supplies: Most computer supplies with an individual price of $250.00 or less. This includes, but is not limited to printers, printer supplies (paper & printer ink), CD/DVD storage media, flash drives, wireless adapters, carrying cases, etc.

Other items: School supplies, calculators, eBook Readers, Apple iPods & iPads, backpacks, apparel, and sports equipment also qualify. Some items are only available in-store.

Financial aid or scholarship recipients may order textbooks online through August 7th. When asked for payment information, simply select "Financial Aid" and a bill will be sent directly to the cashier's office.
