Ne' Richa Breaks Into The Music World with Debut Release

Ne' Richa is the sum of 80s era Hip Hop, sophisticated lyrical attitude, & an undeniable magnetic charisma. At the age of 24, she has already accomplished a great deal, with her album L.F.C. (Late 4 Class), being her crowning achievement.

The music world is full of winners & losers, the rich & the poor, the party-goers, & the free-thinkers. Newcomer Ne' Richa (ne Natalie Richmond), seems to know her niche, & according to her self-written material featured on L.F.C. (Late 4 Class), she's quite comfortable in her own skin. Combining an animative, yet alluring, sense of self-confidence, with a brash delivery of truths, L.F.C. is sure to redefine what many consider to be "Hip-Hop".

In fact, it's so undeniably doused in the sounds & flavour of what is now considered "Old School," that the genre itself seems to resurge into a "fresh old school". Although she may be deemed a newcomer to most, for those who know her best, this premiere was years in the making. She began her career as an intern on Gannon University's campus station, 90.5 FM, at the age of 16. Exposed to a variety of music styles & genres, her reputation grew as she became recognized as a DJ, allowing her to expose her material to a wider audience. "My city really caught on quick," she says. "I didn't expect for anyone to pay attention at first. I was still a rookie. But, having my own radio show gave me the launching pad I needed to gain fans".

Born in Erie, Pa in 1987, Ne' Richa was bred by reggae music & Motown sounds. "My mother is a BIG Bob Marley fan, so I picked up on those "island" rhythms at a very early age," says Richmond. That "island influence" permeates throughout tracks such as "RoqStar" & "Ain't Ya Ex". The former showcases the emcees' lyrical prowess, the latter is almost as soulful as it is arrogant, as the rapper harmonizes, "Don't make me over....I ain't ya ex, No". L.F.C.'s buzz single, "Dollar," is this embodiment of the album's premise, as the rapper showcases a fun & demanding flow over an intoxicating beat reminiscent of the better moments of the 80's era Hip Hop, commonly referred to as the "Golden Era".

"My goal with this album is to create a new standard. You don't have to be a major artist signed to a major label in order to have a major impact" says Richmond, who spent close to a year writing & producing the project. In regards to her musical influences she notes," Some of my favorite artists, like Prince & Michael Jackson, made music that was timeless. They stood in their own lane. That rubbed off on me a great deal". As far as production, L.F.C. maintains a powerful, yet subtle energy. Bass-driven rhythms & drum syncopations that lead to an almost hypnotic head nod by the listener. This is truly "Rapper's Delight".

L.F.C. (Late 4 Class) is now available on her official homepage, iTunes, Amazon, & various other sites for download and/or stream.
