Nepal Remembers Loved Ones Lost
Kathmandu, Nepal, May 5, 2016 (Newswire.com) - In cities and villages throughout Nepal, men, women and children gathered at dusk April 25 to honor the lives of those who died when earthquakes, avalanches, and landslides collapsed homes, businesses and temples, taking the lives of nearly 9,000.
As night descended, thousands of candles glowed in city squares throughout the country—each representing a life.
Scientology Volunteer Ministers, providing relief in Bhaktapur, Kavrepalanchok and Kathmandu, joined in the tribute to those who lost their lives.
Created by Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard in the mid- 1970s, the Volunteer Minister program is a broad initiative bringing effective physical and spiritual assistance to anyone, anywhere. Expressly intended for use by Scientologists and non-Scientologists alike, anyone of any culture or creed may train as a Volunteer Minister and use these tools to help their families and communities. And all are welcome to do so.
