Networking Event to Benefit 31 Teen Sports Teams - Sponsors, Donors and Players Needed
Online, November 2, 2009 (Newswire.com) - South River High School's Sports Boosters will host the Inaugural Seahawks Challenge Golf Tournament, Dinner and Auction Saturday, May 22, 2010. Event will draw parents, local business owners and community leaders together at a time where networking is crucial to business advancement and survival and when these teens need your support more than ever.
The 2009-2010 fund raising goal is $100,000. All proceeds from the tournament and silent auction will go towards the purchase of uniforms and athletic equipment as well as repayment of the loan required to expand South River Memorial Stadium's seating. South River is host to teens from the Annapolis suburbs of Edgewater, Davidsonville, Riva, Mayo and Crofton, MD.
The tournament will be played at Renditions Golf Course in Davidsonville, MD. Each of Renditions' eighteen holes is a replica of a hole from a golf course that has hosted one or more of golf's four major championships.
Player, sponsor and donor positions are still available. Great Gifts and Prizes
All participating golfers will receive a Players Package filled with golf items and keepsakes.
The tournament will include several games and contests. Closest to the pin, long drive and putting contests during the event will offer special prizes. There will also be hole-in-one contests where the winner can receive a prize valued at up to $25,000.
Prizes will be awarded for the first through third place teams and a 50/50 raffle will be held.
