Nevada Home School Expo Comes To Las Vegas August 7

National speakers offer insight to current and future homeschool parents

In Las Vegas, more than 5,000 children are homeschooled each year. Approximately 1,500 are homeschooled in Northern Nevada. One way for current and prospective homeschool parents to get advice, instruction and inspiration is at the annual Nevada Homeschool Expo.

The annual Nevada Homeschool Expo will be held August 7, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Las Vegas. The host location of this year's event is Community Lutheran Church at 3720 E. Tropicana Avenue. Cost to attend ranges from $5 to $25 and tickets can be purchased at http://nevadahomeschoolexpo.com.

The Nevada Homeschool Expo aims to educate and inspire both current and future homeschooling parents. Experts from across the country will speak in general sessions and moderate workshops to give homeschooling parents tools and resources for homeschooling success.

Among the speakers is Dr. Voddie Baucham, who will give the event's keynote and moderate two workshops. Baucham is a pastor, author, professor and father of six homeschooled children. A sought-after speaker and church organizer, Baucham also serves as Pastor of Preaching at Grace Family Baptist Church in Spring, Texas.
