New 2013 Cadillac ATS Coming Soon To Germain of Columbus
Online, January 21, 2012 (Newswire.com) - At its reveal in Detroit earlier this month, the public got to see firsthand just how much passion Cadillac is putting into the brand new ATS. Columbus area drivers should be on the lookout for this nimble sedan which will be available in the latter half of 2012. Germain Cadillac is proud to be part of the Cadillac family which is revolutionizing American car aesthetics through great design and even better engineering.
Built to rival the incredibly popular BMW 3 Series, Cadillac knew they had to throw everything they could into the ATS. The ATS, which plays off themes of driving excitement, will be tuned for performance on and off the track. Engineers have given the ATS an incredible power-to-weight ratio to allow this car to bring racetrack-honed performance to the masses. In addition to quickness, Cadillac is also going after ride refinement and cornering superiority which rival BMW has always been known for. A five-link independent rear suspension with high strength steel provides the backbone of the ATS and excellent damping is provided by GM's Magnetic Ride Control system. All these features ensure that the drivers will have tons of fun moving from point A to point B.
"ATS engineers built on the legacy of the acclaimed CTS-V Series and picked up the challenge of well-established competitors to create an American sports sedan to rival Europe's finest," said lead development engineer, Chris Berube. "More than the roster of chassis components, the ATS's driving experience is derived from the whole of the car - a low curb weight, optimal balance and excellent dynamics refined during countless hours of racetrack testing."
A trio of powerful engines will give the Cadillac ATS plenty of spunk in both straight-aways and corners. The standard 2.5-liter four cylinder engine can produce a heart 202 horsepower while a turbo charged 2.0-liter cranks up the horsepower to 270. For serious power-lovers, Cadillac also can equip the ATS with a 3.60-liter V6 with an incredible 320 horsepower. Weighing just south of 3,400 pounds and with any of the capable engines, the 2013 Cadillac ATS will have plenty of get up and go.
Germain Cadillac encourages anyone interested to come and test drive the incredible ATS as soon as it hits the Columbus area sometime later this year. Be sure to keep up with all things Cadillac at our site www.germaincadillacofeaston.com.
