New and Improved Travel Medical Coverage

USAway Major Medical Plan

Petersen International Underwriters is pleased to announce the latest improvements to their USAway Major Medical plan, which covers U.S. travelers and expats outside the U.S. The plan can be purchased for one day of insurance up to 11 months of coverage and covers all medically-necessary treatment. Petersen’s new plan is now available in most states. The most noticeable improvement to the product is the cost as significant price reductions have been implemented due to streamlined, online-only enrollment.

Vice President Thomas Petersen recently commented that “the revamp of the USAway plan is a game changer in the travel insurance world, making the product available in nearly every state with an improved quoting page and reasonable rates. This plan is essential for the protection of any traveler from unforeseen medical expenses while traveling or living abroad.”
