New App Outwits Hijackers Of The Mind

New app is set to revolutionize the fitness industry by offering personal training for the mind

New app, M!indi, revolutionizes the fitness industry by offering personal training for the mind.

The M!ndi app is the first of its kind to provide daily coaching on how to deal with internal hijackers, commonly known as difficult thoughts and feelings.

The app centres on an animated character, M!ndi, who gives users daily messages to keep them on track, just like a personal fitness coach.

Unlike fitness coaches, M!ndi offers personal training for the mind. The M!ndi app offers hassle-free coaching as a person undertakes their daily activities.

The app is based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a scientifically proven framework for increasing psychological flexibility.

"Everyone wants to be happy but with increasing stress, pressures and illness it's getting more and more difficult these days," said James Golding, Director of MindEye Creations.

"M!ndi gives people the opportunity to stop struggling with unhelpful thoughts and feelings and be free to do what is most important in life. It's all about getting them to create the life they want."

M!ndi uses technology to integrate the six core ACT processes and guide people on a mind adventure. These six processes are: cognitive defusion, acceptance, contact with the present moment, self as context, values and committed action.

"We wanted to bring a new edge to personal development and self-help - a way that could use innovative technology to make the process fun and accessible anywhere and anytime. M!ndi is a virtual coach for real life guidance."

The M!ndi app is available for iPhone and PCs. An Android version of the app will be released in coming months.
