Online, January 12, 2011 (Newswire.com) - 10 years ago Mr. Hansen foresaw the need for a product that could eliminate the oil from the bilge of ships economically and effectively. He attempted with numerous options and concepts, ultimately coming to a decision on a tube-based model. In the launch, however; the timing wasn't right, and there appeared to be very small interest in such a system. So the entire idea was put on the shelf for a soon after date, while pursuing additional endeavors.

Then 3 years ago the idea was touched up and perfected over that period. People that have dirty bilge water in their boats could face fines and prison conditions by the authorities. Now the timing was right to produce a product like the Bilge Licker, giving a solution to ship owners.

The creators of the Bilge Licker, H.M.I. Bilge Licker's main goal is to have as many in in service as possible.
