Spofford in 1888, How to Get Rich contains writings by Benjamin Franklin Butler, Henry Hardwick Faxon, Charles Alfred Pillsbury, Asa P. Potter, Phineas Taylor Barnum, Oliver Ames, Erastus Wiman, and Russell Sage.
