New Canaan Charity Collaboration
New Canaan, CT, June 3, 2015 (Newswire.com) - L’Armoire Boutique teamed up with Arts for Healing (AFH) to co host an exclusive Bubbles, Baubles and Beauty event. The evening was orchestrated to raise money and awareness for AFH - a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to providing creative arts therapy services and programs for people with special needs in New Canaan, Connecticut and surrounding communities.
AFH Founder and Clinical Director - Karen Nisenson and Mary Ford – AFH Art Specialist were both present. Other New Canaan businesses such as elm restaurant contributed food prepared by Executive Chef Luke Venner and Blow outs were offered by Studio Elan. Resident PJ Marcella provided sparkling refreshment with One Hope Wine. Special thanks to Lisa Dunn for her decadent chocolate truffles and Lydia Clay of Beauty Counter.
"I was delighted to see such strong, local support for AFH. The paintings the children created were exceptional and when you hear about their personal struggles, it is truly remarkable. We were delighted to be involved and hope this is the first of many fundraisers."
Diane Roth , Owner L'Armoire
Four of the paintings the children had created at AFH were auctioned off and 10% of ongoing sales from Friday and Saturday raised a total of $2,440.00 for the charity.
