New Cloud Service for Optimizing SAP® Licenses Introduced by XPANDION
Online, September 21, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Tel Aviv, Israel - XPANDION, a provider of solutions that improve SAP® security and optimize SAP licenses, announced the availability of a SaaS version of its popular LicenseAuditor software, part of the ProfileTailor™ suite. LicenseAuditor overcomes the complex problem of monitoring and managing SAP license usage - enabling enterprises to maintain continuous real-time visibility of their actual SAP license usage, and to control current and future costs - with no additional hardware required.
Identifying dormant, underused, duplicate, and misclassified SAP license accounts, LicenseAuditor-SaaS empowers enterprises with an immediate and accurate grasp of their previously unintelligible situation. The identification of misclassified users is of particular importance, enabling companies to re-assign users to correct classifications types, and to assign existing licenses to new employees. The solution is especially useful prior to the ordering of new SAP usernames - and prior to annual SAP license fee negotiations.
Based on historical data, LicenseAuditor-SaaS enables an instant snapshot of SAP license usage, analyzing even periods of a year - on the day of implementation. Calculations can be done according to the amount of activity, type of usage, or activity groups. Hosted either on XPANDION's secure cloud server - or on the servers of the enterprise's trusted implementers, the final SAP licensing report and recommendations can be received online or via email, or can be accessed via a browser.
According to XPANDION's Founder, Moshe Panzer, "With LicenseAuditor-SaaS, enterprises of all sizes can now control their SAP license costs and fully optimize their SAP investments. They can select the most advantageous method of SAP license inspection - calculating according to the amount of activity, type of usage, or even by activity groups. This is a unique service that enables every organization, large or small, to benefit from data that they could not previously obtain - and to utilize it in their license planning and negotiations."
Calculating by activity groups is considered the most effective method of calculation, but, until now, has been almost impossible to perform, even manually. With XPANDION's solution, companies can now fully customize their activity groups, automatically. LicenseAuditor also handles the issue of users being active in multiple clients and systems. The solution automatically combines and synchronizes their various usernames into one entity.
